Whether you’re talking about the rooms, service, food, or views, it excels in every category.
In this post, we’re sharing 11 reasons to stay at Cap Maison St. Lucia, based on our personal experience, to help you decide if this is the right resort for your St. Lucia vacation.
Quick Overview of Cap Maison
Cap Maison is located in Cap Estate, a residential neighborhood known for its luxury villas and resorts.
Perched on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea, it offers a refined atmosphere and secluded retreat for anyone seeking to disconnect for a little while.
With just 49 rooms, the resort feels intimate and private, yet there’s plenty of space to relax without ever feeling crowded.
Best Reasons to Stay at Cap Maison in St. Lucia
While there are many choices for hotels on the island, not all are created equal. Cap Maison stands out above the rest for many reasons.
From the accommodations to the food and everything in between, it all comes together to make for a perfect Caribbean experience.
If you’re like us, you’ll be planning your return visit before you leave.
With that said, let’s get to it!
1. Incredible Clifftop Views

Cap Maison itself is perched high on a cliff so many areas within the resort offer panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
When dining at The Cliff or sitting by the pool, you can see the coastline as it stretches south towards Pigeon Island.
The resort’s layout maximizes the views everywhere, so you can soak them in from virtually any spot.
2. Private Pools and Spacious Villa-Style Rooms

We’ve stayed at many resorts in the Caribbean, but, honestly, the rooms at Cap Maison are probably some of the largest we’ve seen and probably some of the nicest.
In addition, some offer private pools which was a huge selling point for us since we were looking for a quiet place to relax away from crowds.
A bonus is that many of these rooms also have ocean views.
3. One of the Best Dining Experiences on the Island

As a Relais & Chateaux property, we assumed the food was going to be excellent but it was actually, by far, the best food we had on the island.
Whether it was their à la carte breakfast or dinner in one of the two restaurants, everything we tried was amazing. No need to go anywhere else!
4. Perfect If You Want a Quiet, Relaxing Resort

One of the things we loved most about Cap Maison was how quiet it was.
Larger resorts can sometimes overload my senses so I feel like I can never truly relax, but Cap Maison isn’t like that.
There’s no loud music, no activity directors trying to get you to join activities you don’t want to do. Just peace and quiet. Absolute perfection.
5. Relax on a Secluded Cliffside Beach

We’re not really spend-the-day-at-the-beach people but we know a lot of people who are which is why we’re including this as one of the reasons to stay here.
Although the beach is rather small, it is in a very picturesque location in a secluded cove. It’s flanked on both sides by tall cliffs so it offers a little protection from the rougher waters.
It’s perfect if you prefer the beach over a pool or if you just want a change in scenery.
6. A Signature Rum Punch You Won’t Forget

This will probably sound ridiculous to some people but we couldn’t get enough of Cap Maison’s rum punch. It’s sooooo good! If you love rum punch as much as we do, you’re going to love it too.
From the minute we were offered some upon arrival we were hooked. It’s bottled locally by St. Lucia Distillers and it’s by far the best rum punch we’ve ever tasted.
They serve it in the bars and restaurants as well so you never have to go too far to get some.
We’re trying to find out if we can have some shipped to us. If we find out, we’ll let you know.
7. Service That Feels Personal

From the minute we booked our stay, we found the service at Cap Maison to be impeccable.
Whether you want to rent a car, take a taxi or arrange for a special dinner, everyone went above and beyond to make sure that it was an amazing experience.
This is definitely something that’s been lacking in other resorts we’ve stayed at recently and it’s definitely a welcome change.
8. Ideal Location for St. Lucia Adventures

Even though Cap Maison is situated almost as far north as you can get on the island, that doesn’t mean you’re too far away to experience some of St Lucia’s best adventures.
Rodney Bay is only about 20 minutes away by car and many water-based tours depart from here.
You can also rent a car for a day and travel further south if you prefer to explore on your own.
9. Stress-Free Luxury Transfers With Select Rooms

This was something we didn’t realize was offered when we booked our stay.
If you book certain room categories at Cap Maison, luxury round trip transfers are included.
You might be thinking, big deal, a lot of hotels include transfers. Not so fast. These aren’t just any transfers. These are luxury transfers by helicopter, boat or luxury car.
This is another huge bonus for staying here since the airport is about an hour and a half away.
That, in itself, is a reason to stay here.
10. A Front-Row Seat to St. Lucia’s Sunsets

The sunsets we saw at Cap Maison were probably some of the most spectacular we’ve ever seen.
Honestly, I couldn’t stop taking pictures. I probably took a hundred of just the sunset from different angles and viewpoints over the span of a week.
The resort layout makes it easy to grab a drink, find a quiet spot, and enjoy the nightly sunset show.
11. Flexible Dining Plans

Many resorts on St. Lucia are all-inclusive which is a big draw for many people. We aren’t those people.
We’ve stayed at all-inclusive resorts before, but, honestly, we feel like they’re wasted on us. We don’t eat or drink nearly enough to get our money’s worth.
That’s why we love Cap Maison. You can choose the dining plan that works for you.
Is Cap Maison Worth the Money?
This is an easy one for us. Cap Maison is absolutely worth the money.
In a world where charging more for less seems to be the norm now, Cap Maison sets itself apart by actually giving you your money’s worth and then some.
From the large villa-style rooms to the exquisite food and attentive service, everything is top-notch.
If you’re looking for an amazing experience, Cap Maison is for you.
